What you'll experience as a Facilitation in Action
Camp design and facilitation
Work alongside our team to support the design and delivery of one of our camps. See how a Rite of Passage is built from the ground up, then experience what it takes to facilitate it in real time.
Advanced facilitation skills
Sharpen your ability to hold a group, run activities and sessions, and lead with presence. You’ll learn from experienced facilitators and get direct feedback as you practise the craft.

Learning by doing is the most powerful way to grow
Building upon the knowledge gained in our Level 1 training, this program advances your understanding about the Art of Facilitation. Learn how to apply your skills in live scenarios with real groups so you can grow your impact as a facilitator.
This will be a great opportunity for you to get ideas and inspiration for programs you may want to create or deliver. Where possible we have a dedicated Training Officer to support and mentor you.
We offer opportunities for trainees to attend any of our camps throughout the year.

How is the online training different from the in-person training?
The online training allows you to learn the same powerful framework at your own pace, from anywhere in the world. While it’s not the same immersive group experience, it gives you all the tools to begin applying this work in your community and with participants online.
Who is the online training for?
The Facilitation in Action experience is for graduates of the Leadership Training programs who wish to further their knowledge and understanding of the Rites of Passage framework and to witness our experienced facilitators in live situations.
How long does it take to complete?
The length of the experience is program-dependent. You will need to be available the day before the camp begins to meet the facilitation team on site, through to the end of the program.
What's included?
You will attend live programs as a team member, assist with logistics, observe lead facilitators, expand your knowledge base, receive mentoring and support from a dedicated Training Officer where possible, and gain everything you need to use the framework in your own programs.
Can I join the in-person training later?
Facilitation in Action does not mean that you will officially work for ROPI, but opportunities may arise where this can be explored. Reach out to us to discuss what’s possible.

Apply to an apprentice on one of our camps and learn the work in real time. Sit in the circle. Hold the space. Take direct feedback from facilitators with decades of experience. This is how this work has always been passed on.
An immersive camp experience
Step 1
Attend live programs as a team member*
You are embedded as an active team member for the full program — present from day one and involved throughout. This isn’t passive observation; you are part of the team delivering a real Rite of Passage experience for participants.
Step 2
Assist with Logistics & Observe Lead Facilitators
Support the smooth running of the program behind the scenes while watching experienced facilitators work in real time. You’ll see how the framework is applied moment-to-moment — the decisions made, the pace set, the group held.
Step 3
Expand your knowledge Base & Get mentoring & support
Every camp deepens your understanding of the framework. Where possible, a dedicated Training Officer supports and guides you throughout — offering mentoring, feedback and the space to reflect on what you’re learning and how to apply it.
